Biography
Etiyé Dimma Poulsen was born in Ethiopia in the Aroussi province and lived there until the age of six. Her parents then settled in Tanzania and afterwards in Kenya. At the age of fourteen, she moved with her family to Denmark.
She studied art history at university and then taught art. At first, Etiyé Poulsen devoted herself to oil painting on canvas, painting landscapes. She was made to feel that there was no place for her on the market, which is why she reluctantly stopped painting.
She moved to France at the age of 22, where she met the ceramicist Michel Moglia, who introduced her to metal structures.
