Biography
Harouna Ouédraogo was born in 1981 in Burkina Faso. He lives and works between Lyon, Ouagadougou and Santa Fe in the United States.
Techniques: painting and drawing.
A child of globalisation, Harouna Ouedraogo is a global artist who divides his time between France, the United States and Burkina Faso.
A graduate of the Institut National de Formation aux Arts in Ouagadougou, he confronts the raw and spontaneous side of his work with an energising modernity.
He has been particularly inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Soly Cissé. For him, painting is the best tool to express himself and to illustrate his emotions.
