Giving contemporary African art the place it deserves.

Daffa Konaté
Daffa Konaté is an independent curator, cultural consultant and founder of Art Kelen, a platform dedicated to contemporary African art. She created Art Kelen to give African artists greater visibility, to make it easier for them to meet collectors, and to help their work gain wider recognition.
Transmission sits at the heart of her practice: making art and culture reachable for as many people as possible, building bridges and stirring curiosity. She supports artists, projects and cultural organisations in their development and visibility, and creates exhibitions and experiences that bring works and audiences together.
Her approach: to let works meet their audience, to keep narratives circulating, and to contribute to greater visibility for contemporary African art scenes.
