Hortense Mbea

Biography

Her first career is that of an interpreter, a profession Hortense has practised for 17 years and which remains a true passion. After working in a major international organisation, she decided to resign so that, while remaining a freelance interpreter, she could devote herself to other passions and start her own company.

Hortense always says she has had an artistic side; she drew, danced, took photographs, wrote and sang. But in adulthood she focused only on her family and her profession, and at one point felt the need to return to more artistic activities.

This is how Afropian was born in 2017. A play on words between "Africa" and "Ethiopia", through her brand Hortense's vocation is to build a bridge between Ethiopia and the rest of the African continent.
