Kadidiatou Touré

Biography

Of Malian and Senegalese origin, Kadidiatou was born in Senegal but spent a good part of her studies in the United States. She was raised in a fairly traditional Senegalese-Malian family: she ate the food of the country, was educated with regard to the values associated with these cultures and the expectations of what a person should achieve in life. She therefore studied economics, international development, political science and gender studies, and worked for most of her life in development organisations.

However, she has always had a creative side. She loves all that is beautiful and connected to fashion. She has a deep love for women. She finds that they embody beauty through their grace and strength, and she is convinced that their emancipation is the key to a real advance for our society.
