Tallafe

Biography

Tallafé was born in 1981 in Abéché, the second-largest city in Chad. Drawn to artistic creation early, he obtained an art diploma in 2008 from the Oldham School of Art in Manchester (UK). Favouring acrylic on canvas, his style blends abstraction and figuration, embodied by anonymous silhouettes that bear witness to difficult social realities.

Based in the Paris region, his works have been hosted in several exhibition centres in France, at the UNESCO House, as well as in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. His painting "Confluences" won the City of Sainte Geneviève-des-Bois Prize at the Salon de l'Hurepoix 2012.
