How you are paid when your work sells

When one of your works sells on Art Kelen, a clear and dependable process carries you from the sale to money in hand. This guide gives the overview; the guides that follow go deeper on each part.

A sale is confirmed. When a collector acquires your work, the sale is recorded and you are notified. The piece now has a buyer, and your task is to prepare it for delivery.

The work is delivered. You dispatch the piece to the collector. The shipping guides explain how this works and what is expected of you.

The payment is released. An artist’s payment is released after the artwork is delivered and the order is confirmed — either by the buyer confirming receipt, or by Art Kelen verifying delivery. This can take up to 7 days after delivery. This step is what protects both sides: the collector knows the work has arrived as described, and you can rely on the sale being settled.

Your payout is sent. Once released, your earnings — the sale price less the platform commission — are paid out to you. The payout guides explain the timing and the methods.

Throughout, your artist dashboard keeps you informed. The Sales & transactions and Payouts areas show where each sale stands, so you are never guessing.

The whole arrangement is built on a simple principle: the collector is confident their acquisition is real, and you are confident your sale will be paid. That confidence, on both sides, is what makes a curated marketplace work.
