Art Kelen is built to be a safe place to buy and sell art. A few simple habits on your part keep it that way. None of this is complicated; it is mostly a matter of knowing what normal looks like, so anything abnormal stands out.
Keep everything on the platform. This is the most important habit of all. Enquiries, conversations, payments, orders — all of it belongs on Art Kelen. The platform’s protections only apply to what happens on the platform. Anyone steering you off it is steering you out of safety.
Pay only through Art Kelen. Every legitimate payment for a work happens on the platform, at the point of acquiring. You should never pay by direct bank transfer to an artist or through an unrelated service. A request to pay off-platform is the single clearest warning sign there is.
Protect your account. Use a strong, unique password and keep it to yourself. Art Kelen will never ask for your password — not by email, not in a message, not ever. Anyone who does is not us.
Know the warning signs. Be cautious of: a request to move a conversation or payment off the platform; pressure to act urgently or pay quickly; an offer that seems too generous to be real; a message asking for your password or login details; or anything that simply does not match how the rest of the platform behaves. Real artists and real collectors have no need for any of these.
What Art Kelen will never do. We will never ask for your password. We will never ask you to pay or move money outside the platform. We will never pressure you into urgent action. If a message claiming to be from Art Kelen does any of these, treat it as suspect.
If something feels wrong, tell us. If a message, a request, or a conversation feels off, you do not need to be certain to raise it. Open a support conversation and tell us what you saw. You are never being a nuisance — you are helping us keep the platform safe for everyone.
Safety here is mostly common sense, plus one rule: stay on the platform.
