Privacy and your information

Using Art Kelen means sharing some information — your name, your contact details, the things you need to provide to buy or sell art. This guide explains, in plain terms, how that information is treated.

Information is collected to make the platform work. Art Kelen asks for information because the platform needs it to function — to set up your account, to connect a collector with an artist, to deliver a work, to process a payment, to keep you informed about an order. The information you are asked for serves the purpose at hand.

It is treated with care. Your information is handled with the seriousness it deserves. Sensitive details, such as the information involved in a payment, are protected through secure, industry-standard means. Your information is not treated casually.

It is shared only as a transaction requires. For a sale to work, some information naturally moves between the people involved — an artist needs a delivery destination to send a work, for instance. Sharing of this kind is limited to what a transaction genuinely requires. Art Kelen does not exist to pass your information around beyond that purpose.

Your conversations stay on the platform. Enquiries and messages between collectors and artists live within Art Kelen. This is both a privacy benefit and a safety one — your exchanges are kept in one protected place, not scattered across outside channels.

Your account is yours to manage. You can review and update the information in your account. Keeping your own details accurate and current is good practice — it makes sure orders, deliveries, and communication reach you correctly.

Be considerate with others’ information too. Just as your information is treated with care, treat with care any information you learn through a transaction — a collector’s delivery destination, an artist’s contact details. Use it for the transaction at hand, and no further.

If you have a question. If you want to understand how your information is handled in a particular situation, a support conversation is the place to ask. For the full and formal account of how information and privacy are managed, the platform’s privacy policy is the definitive reference.

Your information is given for a purpose, treated with care, and kept to that purpose. That is the whole of it.
